Management of Educational Changes
Instructor: Sotiris Karkalakos
This course aims to introduce participants to Educational Change Management and how it is implemented within educational institutions. Like all organizations, educational institutions must evolve in order to remain sustainable. This evolution involves integrating new elements that reflect scientific and technological advancements, while leveraging their comparative advantages—especially their human resources.
School leaders are expected, among their other responsibilities, to guide their school staff in such a way that they are smoothly prepared to recognize the value, necessity, and appropriateness of the proposed change, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful implementation. Collaboration among stakeholders is a cornerstone of successful change, as it fosters trust-based relationships that serve both as a springboard for growth and as a buffer against shocks.
Evolution, operational shifts, or radical transformation often accelerate during times of crisis, making rapid adaptation absolutely essential. By the end of the course, participants will be able to apply many of the concepts learned to their own professional environments.
