Course Objective
The aim of the course is to explain to students the structure and functioning of the market for educational services. The economics of education examines questions related to individuals' decisions to invest in education, the determining factors that shape and influence the demand and supply of educational services, the methods of financing these services, the state's interventions in the education market, the effective design of educational services and the efficient allocation of educational resources, as well as the long-term impact of education on poverty, economic inequality, unemployment, and economic growth.
